Search the MEM
The Macpherson Electronic Museum (MEM) contains a wealth of information
You can take your “tour” in a logical sequence, from the South Hall to the Retired Special Exhibits, which involves viewing many pages separately. That method could take you a long time if you are looking for something specific.
From this page, you can search the database of the MEM.
Enter the word or phrase into the box below and click the search button
To search for multiple words or phrases, separate them with semi-colons. Searches are not case-sensitive, so “Macpherson” and MacPherson” would be considered the same. However “Macpherson” and “McPherson” are different, so include both spellings and separate them with a semi-colon.
Be general rather than specific unless you are sure of the MEM entry
For example, if you want to locate Francis Macpherson’s Sporran and enter those words into the search box, you will get no results since the item is listed in the MEM as “Francis Cameron Macpherson’s Sporran. Widen your search by entering “Macpherson’s Sporran” and the record is located at Panel 68. Widen further by entering just “Sporran” and your search will return five records.
